Finalmente un pò di giustizia sarà fatta! Il 4 novembre (lunedì) l’incredibile talento di Janis Joplin verrà consacrato con una stella nella Hollywood Walk of Fame. La notizia è stata annunciata dalla Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Certo io sono una di quelle accanite sostenitrici che i fiori vanno portati ai vivi e non ai morti ma questa notizia comunque mi riempie di gioia e, d’altra parte, come cantava Janis:
“So if someone comes along,
He gonna give you love and affection,
I’d say get it while you can, yeah,
Honey, get it while you can, yeah,
Honey, grab it while you can,
Don’t you turn your back on love, no, no, no..”
La producer della Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ana Martinez ha dichiarato: “We are excited to add a unique tribute to Janis by her friend Kris Kristofferson who will perform a special acoustic version of “Me and Bobby McGee”.
